1968 Chevelle bucket seats were the same size and shape as the 1969–72 Chevelle bucket seat frames, however the 1968 does not have headrests.

1969–72 Chevelle bucket seat frames are the same and have headrests. The 1969–72 Chevelle bucket seats have a square, chrome plated plastic seat release button on the backside of upper center of the plastic backrest.

1967 Chevelle seat frames do not have headrests and the thin rectangular seat release button is on the upper, side, with a sheet metal backrest.

Hope this clears some things up. Please specify if you need more details.
