what is the difference between the front and back seat belts in a 1956 chevy 2 dr hardtop?
Well, the front seat belts go in the front. Da.....
Thanks for the reply. I forget that even the simplest things have to be explained I.E. my reason for asking the question. I need to put seat belts in my 56 ht and I don't know anything about it. I was looking online and I saw two different length belts stating they both fit a 56 Chevy. Not being an expert in this area I thought I would ask Mr Bowtie because I thought maybe there was a difference in length between the front and back. There, I think I've explained it so everyone will understand my reason for asking not just the people with more than half a brain. Is there a required length for front and back and if so what are they?
As far as i'm aware, just purchasing a set of lap belts for a 1958 Chevy Bel-Air front and rear they are of the same length. just be aware of the mounting plate position on the front seat to allow for the front seat (foward and backward) adjustment. Have fun with your project.
