i have a block and on the back is gm5.7 lg sgi and on both sides of the block it has 327. i would like to know what it is and what it came out of.

Mr. Bowtie

You will need the casting number on the back of the block to tell you which vehicle the engine is out of. Write this number down and contact Scoggin Dickey Chevrolet in Lubbock, Texas at 1 800 456–0211 for identifying the vehicle.

I have a gm 5.7 LG. I can't match any other numbers. And it doesn't have SGI. How can I trace this engine?
