first car


Hi all im a newbe to this forum i just got a 1979 chevy malibu classic wagon with bucket seats manual 4 speed and leather. It only has 40 thousand miles on it and is rust free it currently has a 396 bored .30 over dinode at 402 horse power. The engine is out of a 68 chevelle or so i believe it also has a edelbrock performer 2.0 intake manifold a edelbrock 750 cfm carb and lots of crome. Im currently looking for a posi rear end my brother just got a 1973 monte carlo with a 12 bolt posi im going to buy it from his hes parting out the car to rusty. The malibu runs and drives good it has super turbo mufflers on it to. My dad owns a 1974 corvette convertable power windows and steering and airconditioning rare options. He also has a 1966 mustange fastback gt 289 needs whole front end and title. The other car he has is a 1965 chevelle with a brand new rebuilt 283 one of his daily drivers. The malibu needs new muffler donuts and a new head gasket though and a new thermostat but all minor. My dad was a mechanic in the army my brother works at the junkyard and im going to school to be a mechanic. I also own a pimped out lawn mower to bad i cant post pictures up or i would.

@ Bowtieballer' ..Its nice hearing your Enthusiasm i hope you keep your cars and not sell them, i like many wish we had the sense to keep the cars we had back then, selling your Chevy's will cause painful memories, at least it does for me! Good Luck!
