not sure if anyone out there can help me.

I have a 1948 dodge truck w/ the original flat head straight 6 with a 3 speed manual trans. And I have a T350 i'd like to use instead of the manual that's on it and I've heard of people adapting a turbo 350 to this motor.

But i don't really know where to start. I'm assuming i need some kind of adapting plate for the trans to bolt to. anyone know where to aquire one?

also as far as the fly wheel goes can i use the original?

For possible help installing the TH350 GM transmission behind your 1948 Dodge truck with six cylinder engine surf the web site below.
http://www.wilcap.com/webdoc8.html

Wilcap offers many different engine to transmission adapter plates for mating two different engine and transmission manufacturers together. Call them for technical help. There are others. Also check with some of the drag racing high performance transmission case manufacturers which install many GM TH350 and TH400 transmissions onto Mopar and Ford engines. The aftermarket drag race transmission case makers cut the front bell housing section off the stock GM TH350 or TH400 case and make their own adapter bellhousing section which then uses the transmission pump attaching bolts to attach it back to the transmission.

Just had a friend install a 700R4 overdrive GM automatic transmission behind a 460 Ford big block with an adapter plate and worked out well on a daily driven 1950's Ford truck.
