Just purchased a 65 chevelle. I dont think the bucket seats are original. They need new covers but I dont know what to order to fit them. They are the short back seats with a metal back plate that just about covers the entire seat back. There are no back release knobs.I found a tag on the seat springs they read sg-4-18 and sg-2577743-b. Does anyone have any idea of what these came out of? Thanks |

Where can I see a picture of the back of the original 1965 front seat covers...I'm trying to determine if the seats in the Chevelle I just bought are original or came out of something else. |

According to the 1965 dealer book ,1965 chevelle buckets are fully covered in vinyl on the back of the upper seats and do not have a metal or plastic plate. There should also be a chrome trim piece (spear shaped) on the sides of each upper bucket seat back. Hope this helps. |
