1965 chevelle

Just purchased a 65 chevelle. I dont think the bucket seats are original. They need new covers but I dont know what to order to fit them. They are the short back seats with a metal back plate that just about covers the entire seat back. There are no back release knobs.I found a tag on the seat springs they read sg-4-18 and sg-2577743-b. Does anyone have any idea of what these came out of? Thanks

To see a picture of the original bucket seat covers for a 1965 Chevelle go to page 130 of our catalog on our website at www.carsinc.com and compare them to yours. If they are the same then we also supply the covers. Order at www.carsinc.com or give us a call at 1 800 CARS INC

Where can I see a picture of the back of the original 1965 front seat covers...I'm trying to determine if the seats in the Chevelle I just bought are original or came out of something else.

According to the 1965 dealer book ,1965 chevelle buckets
are fully covered in vinyl on the back of the upper seats and
do not have a metal or plastic plate. There should also be a
chrome trim piece (spear shaped) on the sides of each upper
bucket seat back. Hope this helps.
